These maps may be downloaded and used as guides to the trail. North of Town Trails - Vindicator, Golden Circle, Battle Mtn, Purple Fluorite GPS Trail Maps: Battle Mountain Trail to the Ajax Overlook - Note this trail is closed as needed temporarily for blasting. The Ajax Overlook is closed until further notice as future as mining activities in the South Cresson pit will be too close to ensure public safety. Please note the Battle Mountain Trail from the Independence to the original stopping point on the west end of the mountain will remain open except for temporary blasting clearances. The overlook will reopen once it is deemed safe. Gold Camp Trail - the upper portion of the Trail from the Hoosier Mine to the COD Mine is closed for safety reasons due to the proximity of mining until at least Oct. 1, 2020.
